Encanto star shows off LEGO Disney 100 build

Adassa, one of the stars of Disney’s Encanto, has walked viewers through a LEGO Disney 100 custom build of one of the most emotional scenes from the animated film.

The climax of Encanto centres around the main character, Mirabel, and her grandmother having a conversation that clears up past conflict and misunderstandings between the two. As the two embrace one another, the sun rises over the pair in a flower-strewn forest. It’s a gorgeous location – and one that Disney revisited in bricks for Disney’s 100th anniversary.

Adasso, who voices Delores (another member of the Madrigal family) walks us through the custom build in a Twitter video, highlighting how the bricks capture the magic of the moment.

Comparing the build to the real scene, it looks very accurate, from the towering palm trees in the background to the mixture of pink, green, and blue flowers in the foreground. Transparent rods mean that pale butterflies can fly overhead, matching the ones on the bushes and the flowers. The butterflies are a symbolic motif in the film, becoming symbols of happiness and imagination, as well as a good omen for the Madrigal family as a whole.
