BTS fans speculate one band member hinted at the teased LEGO set

BTS fans are speculating that K-pop singer Jimin’s birthday live-stream hinted at the teased LEGO set now believed to be on its way.

It’s safe to say that the teaser for the LEGO BTS set from the LEGO Group has set the internet on fire, but fans of the K-pop band are now analysing past events for hints of the upcoming set. On October 13, 2022, one band member, Jimin, live-streamed himself building 10280 Flower Bouquet to celebrate his birthday. Now, fans are wondering whether this was an early sign of collaboration between BTS and the LEGO Group.

“Nothing is a coincidence,” wrote @ARMYSHIRE on Twitter.

Considering that the lead times for the production of new LEGO sets take several months at least and usually even longer when an external franchise or entity, like BTS, are involved, it’s likely that Jimin already knew that a LEGO BTS set was on its way at this point. Perhaps the singer was trying to get in some practice before building a brick-built version of himself.

While we don’t know whether Jimin was trying to send the BTS ARMY a cryptic clue, it’s great to see the band member getting involved with building LEGO sets ahead of the reveal of the BTS set. According to the LEGO Group’s countdown, we should expect more news at 5am UK time on Thursday, February 16.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.
