Twitter can’t handle LEGO 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell

Twitter has taken the news of LEGO Icons 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell and run with it – with hilarious results.

Reactions to LEGO sets as highly-anticipated as 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell are always extreme, whether that’s positive (like right now) or negative (ahem, looking at you 76210 Hulkbuster). The Lord of the Rings and LEGO fans have united in sheer excitement about the 6,167-piece set and the ensuing tweets are truly something to behold.

Some are happily giving up one of the most prized possessions on the internet right now (Beyonce tickets) in exchange for the enormous set.

Still more are fondly remembering a time when they didn’t know such a set existed that they can’t yet build and display.

Some might have been skeptical at first but the detailed promotional pictures have won them round.

Even though it’s only been a day since the reveal, smaller details are already jumping out to many fans.

All in all, it’s safe to say that fans are excited – and keen to get their hands on the set. They’ll have to wait, however, with LEGO Icons 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell not on sale until March 5 for VIP members, and March 8 for everyone else, for £429.99 / $499.99 / €499.99.
