LEGO 40581 BIONICLE Tahu & Takua GWP detailed in official building instructions

The official Building Instructions page has revealed more details on the upcoming LEGO 40581 BIONICLE Tahu & Takua GWP.

Next week sees the arrival of a new retro LEGO GWP set, with 40581 BIONICLE Tahu & Takua available from January 27, 2023. The promotional model can be picked up with spends of £90 / $100 / €100 and over and includes a brick-built pair of classic constraction characters.

The 219-piece set reimagines two of the theme’s most iconic characters with traditional System bricks and also comes with a surfboard and display stand for Tahu – the leader of the original six Toa Mata. Although not packaged in the theme’s classic plastic canisters, the BIONICLE figures should still have plenty of appeal for fans of a certain age.

Ahead of the set’s release, official building instructions for 40581 BIONICLE Tahu & Takua can now be downloaded from LEGO.com, with the booklet offering more details on the upcoming set. The instructions also include an introduction from Greg Farstey, writer of the long-running BIONICLE comic book series, who discusses the impact of the theme and what it means to its many fans.

40581 BIONICLE Tahu & Takua will be available from January 27, 2023. There are currently three LEGO GWPs that can be obtained from the official online store and in-stores, with the offers for 40575 Year of the Rabbit, 40583 Houses of the World 1 and 40605 Lunar New Year VIP Add-On Pack all due to expire on January 25, 2023.
