LEGO Marvel Spider-Man figure selection coincides with game

The three new LEGO Marvel Spider-Man figures represent a roster of characters that coincide with a future Spider-Man project due next year. 

The trio of LEGO Marvel Spider-Man figures, including 76225 Miles Morales Figure, 76226 Spider-Man Figure and 76230 Venom Figure, are available now after first releasing in August 2022 and will likely stay in production through 2023. While these characters are well-known, this selection happens to coincide with the next Spider-Man game.

All three of these characters are part of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 – the upcoming sequel to the 2018 PlayStation game. You can watch the trailer for this title below, with it due to release in 2023 at the time of writing. 

It’s likely that this selection of Spider-Man characters chosen for the LEGO figures only happens to coincide with the cast of the game, especially with the designs differing between the comic-inspired sets and the outfits in the game. 

Despite that, it’s a fun coincidence and it’s not the first time that a LEGO Marvel set has managed to tie in with the PlayStation Spider-Man games, accidentally or otherwise.  

In 2019 at San Diego Comic-Con, the PS4 Spider-Man minifigure was made available to a limited number of attendees and no other models explicitly based on the games have been released since.
